Run the harness to the front of the vehicle and use the wire extensions where necessary. Use zip-ties to secure the wire away from any moving parts. 11. Connect the wires from the front of the vehicle to the second 6 piece power harness, along with the lead wires from the light strips on the rear of the vehicle. 12. Secure all the wires using zip-ties. 13. Clean a flat mounting area near the fuse box location, and the back of the control box with an alcohol prep pad. 14. Place the double sided tape on to the control box and secure the control box to the mounting location. 15. Connect the power harnesses from the light strips to the control box. 16. Remove the fuse box cover and using a test light, locate a fuse that receives constant 12-volt power. 17. Attach the optional expandable circuit to the red wire from the control box. 18. Remove the fuse from the fuse box, place it into the circuit, and place the circuit into the fuse's location in the fuse box. 19. Reinstall the fuse box cover. Note: if not using the optional expandable circuit, locate a constant 12-volt power source and connect the red wire from the control box. 20. Attach a ring terminal connector to the black wire from the control box and connect it to a clean reliable grounding source. 21. This control box comes with a blue wire that is used with a brake light signal. In some applications a relay will be needed in order to change the polarity of the trigger so that the brake light feature will work. If relay kit is needed: Install a SPDT 12v Bosch style automotive relay (AE-001-1) and harness, which can be purchased at an automotive parts store. Connect pins 86 (white wire) and 30 (blue wire) together and connect to a constant power source. Connect pin 87 (yellow wire) to the white wires on the light kit. Connect pin 85 (black wire) to the vehicle’s ground switching brake light source. Pin 87a (red wire) is not used. (Harness wire colors may vary.) 22. Pair your device to the control box and power the kit and verify that all of the strips are lit and working properly.
